Built at the turn of the century the Hotel Napoleon in Paris was immortalised by one of France’s most famous actors Jean Gabin in a couple of his films made in the 1930’s.

Host in this glorious past to stars such as Orson Welles, Errol Flynn and Josephine Baker, the Napoleon Hotel in Paris survived the German occupation from 1942 to 1945. But let us step back to a happier moment in its history….


During the boom of 1928, a wealthy and eccentric Russian merchant named Alexandre Pavlovitch Kliaguine fell in love with a young art student. It was love at first sight and they were married immediately. As a wedding gift, he offered his new wife the Hotel Napoleon, for her to complete her studies in the best conditions. They lived happily in the hotel for the rest of their lives.
To this day, the Napoleon Hotel remains the property of this very same family.
